We are all on a constant journey of discovery and experience. It was only recently that I discovered Tai Chi to be an integral part of mine. The slow deliberate, flowing movements put me into a state of meditation. My body moves with my breath, consciously and joyfully. While engaged in the rapture of motion, I am constantly humbled by energy of complete safety allowing physical vulnerability. What a blessing!

While sitting and watching Ghandi, I was experimenting with some simple Tai Chi exercises. Using the breath and slow deliberate movements raising the arms to shoulder height and down again, aware of every inch of movement and the heaviness of my body when moving parts of it in a mindful way. Exhaling on the lift, inhaling on the descent. After just 10 repetitions, I feel energized.

Lately I have had sincere focus on the breath. When attending meditation classes, I am intently dedicated to it. During times of prayer, I focus on the life force entering my body and through this I become intimately aware of the fire within me, warm and glowing. A strange phenomenon perhaps that my dedication to Christian prayer could actually be opening my chakras and causing me to have the occasional Kundalini experience!
